In the second quarter of 2025, the crime game genre in New Zealand showcased notable trends across the top five applications on a unified platform. According to data from Sensor Tower, each game demonstrated unique patterns in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

June’s Journey: Hidden Objects from Wooga saw its weekly revenue peak at approximately $10.4K by the end of June, following a consistent rise from early May. Weekly downloads, however, experienced a gradual decline, starting at 478 in March and dropping to 272 by the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly, maintaining an average around 4.8K throughout the period.

Lands of Jail experienced a significant surge in weekly revenue, reaching $7.7K in late June. Despite this financial growth, weekly downloads decreased sharply from 3.1K at the beginning of April to 476 by the end of June. Active users showed a downward trend, from a high of 6.6K in mid-April to 4.5K at the quarter's close.

The Grand Mafia maintained a steady revenue stream, with figures hovering around $4.3K towards the end of June. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 250, while active users saw a slight decrease from 769 in March to 610 by the end of June.

Mafia City: War of Underworld generated consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $5.5K in early May. Downloads showed minor fluctuations, with a range between 138 and 253 throughout the quarter. Active users remained steady, averaging about 600.

Manor Matters: Adventure Game saw a peak in weekly revenue at $5.2K in mid-April, followed by a gradual decline. Downloads increased slightly towards the end of the quarter, reaching 105. Active user numbers decreased from 1K at the start of the quarter to just under 900 by the end.
